What is the Difference Between FUE Hair Transplant and FUT Hair Transplant?

What is the difference between FUE and FUT? Sound technical? Let me explain the answer in simple non-technical manner.
difference between FUE and FUT Let’s take FUT first. FUT stands for follicular unit transplantation. Usually, FUT is used synonymously with the strip harvesting method. In this method, a small strip of scalp is removed from the donor area, usually back of the head. This small strip contains thousands of hair follicles. These hair follicles are separated into individual grafts, a naturally occurring unit of hair containing 1-4 strands. After separation, they are ready for plantation into the required area.

Now we turn to FUE, an acronym of follicular unit extraction. In this method, a very small tool is used to extract hair follicle form donor site. These individual grafts are extracted one by one. This method of extraction takes much longer than strip removal.
While FUT or strip removal is good at harvesting large number of grafts with ease, FUE Hair transplant has some other advantages. First, FUE less is invasive. Second, FUE does not produce a linear scar at the donor site. FUE produces small scars, which are easy to conceal under surrounding hairs. There is another unique advantage of FUE, its ability to harvest donor hair from any part of the body. It can harvest hair from chest, arms, legs, or any part where you have some unneeded reserve. Due to the less invasive nature of this procedure, it has less swelling and less downtime.
I hope this was easy to understand. Now you can easily make a decision for your transplantation method and guide others around you.
